I began my teaching career in Warner Robins, GA in 1999.  For three years, I taught special education students in the general education class as a co-teacher.  After moving to San Antonio in 2003, I have been teaching students with autism in a self-contained class.  I have been with Harlandale ISD for 10 years.

It has been my pleasure to have taught students with autism spectrum disorder for ten years, all with Harlandale ISD.  Previously, I was a Special Education Resource Teacher working in an elementary school in Warner Robins, Georgia.

My early life was spent in the Northeast, born in New York, and raised in Maryland.  After college, I experienced living in several different states:  North Carolina, Alabama, and then Georgia.  After raising two daughters, I returned to college to pursue a teaching degree.  Working with special education students inspired me to return again to earn a Master's in Special Education.       I absolutely love what I do and enjoy coming to work every day to see my student's smiling faces!

I am married to Ken Woomer and now have five grandchildren; three boys and two girls.  I spend my vacations and holidays spoiling them!
